Inspiration Found in Dreams

As someone who is new to writing, it’s interesting to sit back and watch how my ideas arise.

Most recently, I’ve had several moments if inspiration come to me in my sleep. I dream in vivid color and sound, so I take note when a dream is silent, or focused on a specific color instead of allowing for the full sensory experience.

Lately, I find my dreams detailing a very specific color yellow that was used in 1950’s Formica furniture.

It’s weird how seemingly tiny details like color, smell, texture, etc inform memories and dreams.
